Harvard grad Alison Rogers was Miss Rhode Island a couple of years ago, and those of us who were out and about on the local green scene often ran across her. There she was, tiara & all, under the tent at Apeiron's Sustainability Fest, tiptoeing through the rain puddles in high heels. She showed up at neighborhood meetings, screenings of An Inconvenient Truth, and anywhere she could help to spread the green message.
No surprise, Rogers now has a highly visible new job in Washington, D.C., where she's Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Green the Capitol Office. Her job is to to help make the U.S. House of Representatives a showcase for sustainability. Check out the full story over at Not4Nothing, the Phoenix blog.
