| Gov. Carcieri Unveils Offshore Wind Farm Plan |

 Governor Carcieri announced this afternoon that the state will seek bids from private developers to build and operate an offshore wind farm just south of Block Island. The project would have about 105 wind turbines and generate 1.3-million megawatt-hours per year. The deadline for proposals is May 16.
