One of our favorite local events every year is Runway Earth: Recycled Fashions for a Sustainable World, a fundraiser for the hardworking grassroots folks at GroundworkProvidence, and also a fun, fashionable and creative event to enjoy. Being green can be hip and chic! say the Runway Earthers, and they have proven that true in editions 1 through 6. Don't miss Number 7! Coming up next Wednesday, Sept 17, at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, from 630 to 9 p.m. All designs in the show are created from re-used materials, and showcased by local designers and celebrity models. And the price is right - tickets are just $35 online or $40 at the door. Show up, have fun, and help Groundwork Providence plant thousands of new trees across the city.
