Here at NNN, we've been trying all week to keep up with the news from the State House --  much of it provided by our local advocates, the State House news service, and links to stories by the intrepid projo reporting staff -- and our goal is not only to keep you informed, but to inspire you to take part.

These few weeks in June during the budget process are when all the General Assembly decisions get made that will impact our environment for years to come.

Here in our little state, it doesn't take very many emails and phone calls --as few as a half dozen or so -- to convince legislators that constituents care about environmental issues. Open space and clean water especially are in danger right now, and need all the support we can muster.

So browse through this week's posts, get informed, and take part! Click here to go directly to the state Web site where you can plug in your address and find contact info for your state representatives. And if you are happy with some of the recent decisions, let them know that, too!

Not quite sure how this whole legislative process works? Click here for a quick intro. It's a clunky pdf format, but just a couple pages, worth printing out.
